Dr. Sagar Govind Gawali is a highly skilled and dedicated Neurosurgeon with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of complex brain and spine disorders. With a strong academic background and advanced international training, he is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care using the latest minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques.

Dr. Gawali completed his MBBS from R.C.S.M. Government Medical College, Kolhapur, followed by an MS in General Surgery and an MCh in Neurosurgery from the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Sion Hospital, Mumbai. He further enhanced his expertise through a Fellowship in Cranial and Spinal Neuroendoscopy at Saarland University, Homburg, Germany. He also played a key role in starting the endoscopic spine programme at LTMG Hospital, Sion—one of the first such programs in a BMC hospital.

Currently, Dr. Gawali is working as an Associate Professor at KJ Somaiya Hospital and Medical College, where he continues to deliver advanced neurosurgical care and contribute to academic excellence. He combines clinical expertise with teaching and research, actively contributing to the training of future neurosurgeons and advancing the field through innovation.

Dr. Gawali has actively contributed to the global neurosurgical community through numerous paper presentations at prestigious international conferences, including WFNS (Dubai), PASMISS (South Korea), and WESSCON. His research has been published in reputed journals such as Neurology India, Asian Journal of Neurosurgery, Indian Journal of Neurotrauma, and the Journal of Paediatric Neurosciences, reflecting his commitment to advancing neurosurgical knowledge.
